Frequently asked questions
Is Melissa cruelty-free?
Melissa has products registered with the Vegan Society, whose standards rule out animal testing for those products (checked 31 October 2026). This certifies individual products rather than the whole brand, so check that the product you buy carries the logo.
Is Melissa vegan?
Partly. Melissa sells vegan products, but not its whole range is vegan. Check each product’s ingredients or look for a vegan logo on the pack.

About this directory
We only list brands we have verified against a certifier’s database (or, where marked, the brand’s own published policy). If a brand is not in our directory, that does not mean it tests on animals — only that we have not verified it. How to check any brand yourself.
